Marija Ramljak is a freelance conductor. She graduated orchestral conducting at the Zagreb Music Academy ( Croatia) and had postgraduate training in the prestigious Budapest's Music Academy " Franz Liszt" ( Hungary). Still a student , auditioning with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, she became a scholarship winner of fundation " Lovro & Lili Matačić" that helps affirmation of young Croatian conductors.
She completed several master classes lead by great conductors ( Yuri Simonov, Ronald Zollman), including reputable London Master Class at the Royal Music Academy in London in the class of Janos Furst. In 2009, she received the third prize at the 12th International Conducting Masterclass & Competition in Budapest with Duna Symphony Orchestra.
She conducted the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Split Symphony Orchestra, etc., and was choirmaster for individual projects of the Croatian Radiotelevision , Croatian National Theatre in Split and Slovenian National Theatre in Ljubljana.
She has been operating on the Croatian Radiotelevision in Zagreb since 1999 as an external Associate Editor. Since 2010, she is the Music Editor of almost all classical concerts and operas in production of Croatian Radiotelevision.
