SOPRAN
Praised for her interpretative depth and vibrant stage personality, Nevena Goranova Rajković is a soprano whose voice moves with equal ease through the lyric delicacy of Mozart and the dramatic intensity of Puccini.
Her professional debut came as Marcellina in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro on the Main Stage of the National Theatre in Belgrade. Since then, her repertoire has grown to include Mozart's Marcellina, Donna Elvira, Dorabella, and Countess Almaviva, alongside Puccini's Mimì and Turandot — roles that span a wide range of vocal color and dramatic character.
Her artistry extends beyond the opera stage. Since 2022, she has been part of the award-winning drama production Lullaby for Aleksija Rajčić, directed by Jug Đorđević at the National Theatre in Belgrade. She has also appeared as vocal soloist in the ballet Queen Margot featuring music by Goran Bregović, and was invited by her hometown of Kragujevac to perform the soprano solo in Martín Palmeri’s Misa Tango. Her acting has been shaped under the mentorship of Professor Ferid Karajica and through collaboration with the celebrated Serbian actor Nebojša Glogovac.
She has honed her craft through masterclasses with Barbara Frittoli, Sumi Jo, and Leo Nucci, and is the recipient of the Grand Prix at the Stojan Gancev International Competition in Croatia and a quarter-finalist of the Elizabeth Connell Prize 2024. She is, above all, an artist who believes that music is most powerful when it is felt.
