Adela Golac-Rilović was born in Zagreb and graduated in solo voice from the Zagreb Music Academy Upon graduating, she finished her master’s degree course in solo voice .Adela also attends international music courses and has had lessons from Dunja Vejzović, Biserka Cvejić, Sena Jurinec and Mirella Freni. Regarded as one of the finest singers of her generation in Croatia, Adela is constantly in demand as a soloist at the main opera houses of Croatia and in concerts with leading Croatian musicians, ensembles and orchestras.
She made her debut as Cleopatra in Händel’s opera Julius Caesar performed by the Zagreb Soloists and conducted by M. Tarbuk at the opening of the Zagreb Summer Festival Performing regularly as a soloist of the all Croatian National Theatres and during the International Dubrovnik,Split,Rijeka and Zadar Summer Festivals of Music and Drama. She also sang in Verdi`s operas Aida (Aida), Falstaff (Alice Ford), Luisa Miller (Luisa) Simon Boccanegra (Amelia),
Il Trovatore(Leonora); Les Vespres Siciliennes(Helene) in Bellini´s operas Norma (Norma), I Capuleti e i Montecchi(Giulietta) ;in Donizetti´s opera L´Elisir d´amore(Adina); In Puccini´s operas she sang in Gianni Scicchi (Laureta), La Boheme (Musetta), Il tabarro (Giorgetta), Turandot (Liu), Madam Butterfly (Cio Cio San); in Mozart`s operas Idomeneo (Ilia) Don Giovanni (Donna Anna), Zauberflöte (Pamina), Le Nozze di Figaro (Contessa Rosina). In Leoncavalo`s opera Pagliacci (Nedda); in R.Strauss opera Electra (Chrysothemis), Tshaikovsky s operas Mazepa (Mariya),Eugene Onegin (Tatyana) in Janacek opera Jenufa(Jenufa),in Wagner opera Lohngrin (Elsa).
She also performs in USA, Italy, Germany, Austria, Holland,Hungary,Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. She performed with the Zagreb Philhamonics conducted by A. Rahbari, N.Milton and A.Remmereit, Toledo Symphony Orchestra conducted by T.Conlin, Theater Aachen by M.Bosch, Orchester der Tiroler Festspiele conducted by G.Kuhn, Zagreb Croatian National Theatre Orchestra conducted by K.Arp, T.Conlin, N.Bareza, P.Dešpalj, the Split Croatian National Theatre Orchestra, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra conducted by V.Šutej, Croatian Radio and Television Orchestra and the Mostar Quintet.
Adela`s concert work includes G.Verdi Requiem, G.B.Pergolesi Stabat Mater, Villa Lobos Bachianas Brasileiras, L.Von Beethoven Symphony no.9, Kantate auf den Tod Kaiser Josephs II, A. L. Webber Requiem, J.Haydn Missa in TemporeBelli, Hob XXII, Theresienmesse, Hob XXII:2, J. Rutter Magnificat, B.Papandopulo Croatian Mass and Noon symphony (for that performance Adela won the «PORIN» Croatian discography award) Adela also made her American debut with Toledo Symphony Orchestra performing famous Viennas arias and duets.
